Mission

Under the management of Dr. Celine Merheb GHANEM, CIVIS_LB is a social innovation laboratory dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across socio-economic and developmental sciences. Our mission is to generate cutting-edge research, facilitate scientific exchanges between emerging and established scholars, and engage civil society leaders.
Through these efforts, we aim to contribute to social and cultural dynamism on both local and global scales.

Vision

We envision CIVIS_LB as a hub for innovative and responsible research, cultural exchange, and active citizenship.

1. Knowledge Dissemination and Policy Development: Our research unit is committed to the dissemination of knowledge and the production of policy papers on critical issues such as activism, civic awareness, citizenship, governance, transitional justice, the rule of law, and social inclusion.
2. Data Documentation and International Collaboration: The laboratory plays a key role in documenting, archiving, and disseminating data, while also contributing to the development of international programs focused on data analysis and forecasting. We bridge theoretical and empirical research, ensuring that scientific findings are accessible to all.
3. Workshops and Change-Making Programs: In alignment with The Grace’s overarching mission, CIVIS_LB operates as a Think Tank, designing workshops that raise awareness on pressing issues and short-term goals. We are committed to developing strategies that implement practical solutions and initiate transformative programs to address the social challenges and crises of our time.

Despite his young age,we are honored to share Dr. Christian-Joseph El Zouki’s remarkable research contributions in the medical field.
